A trio of men has been arrested in connection with the murder of rapper Wavy Navy Pooh.

According to a report NBC6 published on Thursday, November 6, Jakari Darryl Hardaway, Jeremiah Bernard Longsworth and Raymond Araluce were arrested and charged with second-degree murder, attempted murder, and conspiracy. Investigators believe they are the men responsible for orchestrating the deadly shooting of Pooh, born Shandler Beaubien, in 2022. The 27-year-old rapper was driving with his two children and their mother near Zoo Miami when someone in a grey Lexus pulled up to his car and opened fire while they were at a red light.

"No matter how much time has passed, our investigators will continue to work to bring those responsible to justice and to bring closure to the victims' loved ones," the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office said in a statement.

The Lexus fled the scene before police arrived. Over 80 bullet casings were collected at the scene of the crime. Investigators learned that Hardaway rented the Lexus from a private owner and picked up Longsworth and Araluce on the day of the shooting. The trio went to Zoo Miami and waited there until Beaubien left. That's when they followed him to a nearby Walmart before they pulled up to him at the intersection and fired the deadly shots. Neither his children, ages 5 and 1, nor their mother was injured in the shooting.

According to cellphone records, Hardaway took credit for the shooting in a Telegram chat. He also texted several people "Navy wet" after the incident. When questioned by authorities, Hardaway said he couldn't remember if he rented the Lexus and claimed he didn't know Wavy Navy Pooh or his two alleged accomplices. However, Longsworth and Araluce admitted that they knew Hardaway.

Wavy Navy Pooh rose to fame after he was signed to Quality Control Music. He dropped two albums under the label, including his last project Endangered.
