Ye's interview with Piers Morgan only lasted a few minutes before it went off the rails.
On Tuesday night, May 6, the "Uncensored" host aired his eye-popping discussion with the artist formerly known as Kanye West. Morgan explained that it took a couple of days before Ye and his friend, streamer Sneako, finally sat down for the interview while they were in Spain. Once Ye and Sneako appeared, the host called him "Ye West," which rubbed the artist the wrong way, and asked him how he's doing. As he was setting up his next question, Morgan was corrected by Ye again after he said the rapper had 32 million followers on X.
"You're not going to take inches off my d**k bro," Ye retorted. "I'm a gift bro. Why do all you people in media act like you haven't played my songs your weddings, your graduations, or at funerals or when your child was born. You take somebody that's living like a [John] Lennon, a Michael Jackson and you take all this time to just — like that nuance right there, it's just idiotic."
For the record, Ye has 33.3 million followers on X — the only platform he's been using recently to spew his offense commentary. After Morgan said he didn't say anything disrespectful, Ye responded, "Now you're not taking accountability or responsibility. We'll rewind. This is what you get for now. We can circle back when you can count."
Ye walked out of the frame and didn't return. Instead of ending the conversation, Morgan continued to press Sneako, who remained seated as he defended Ye's actions. The wild moment was aired hours before Ye announced his plans for a new album called YAGE. If he follows through, it would be the follow-up to his three projects he dropped this year, BULLY, WW3, and Donda 2. YAGE doesn't have a release date yet. Ye also mentioned his plan to drop his previously shelved album, Yandhi. He originally planned to release the anticipated album in 2018, but decided to move on to Jesus Is King.
