Jhene Aiko Makes Self-Care A Priority In 'Speak' Music Video

Jhené Aiko's blockbuster album, Chilombo, is the gift that keeps on giving.

The R&B hitmaker recently dropped the Brandon Parker-directed music video for the album cut, "Speak," and it’s three-minutes of tranquility. Simultaneously serving as a lyric video, Aiko is seen waking up in her home to give herself a little day of TLC. "I'm movin' on, I'm puttin' on my favorite dress/ The one you hated, said I look naked in," she sings on the tender track, which centers on her liberation from a former romance. After lighting up some incense, cleaning the house, working out and throwing some painting into the mix, the singer aligns her chakras and puts on her favorite dress because, well, she has every right to do. We’re all meandering through quarantine the best that we can, so it's an important reminder to prioritize self-love and some "me time" every now and then.

"Speak" is the latest release off of Chilombo, which saw a 29-track deluxe edition of the LP drop in July. Among the appearances on the newly-revamped version of the set include Kehlani, Mila J, Chris Brown, Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa.

If you want even more Aiko, you can check her out on "Body Language," her new collaboration with beau Big Sean. The Henry and KeY Wane-produced track appears on the rapper's new album, Detroit 2, which dropped on Friday.
