Multiple People Injured at Nipsey Hussle Vigil; Killer Identified

Police and paramedics were called to a vigil honoring Nipsey Hussle in Los Angeles on Monday night, after multiple people were injured in a stampede. TMZ reports that thousands of fans showed up outside of the late rapper’s Marathon clothing store to celebrate the musician. However, video posted online shows the crowd suddenly breaking into a panic and people scrambling to safety. While it was initially reported that gunshots rang out, those reports don’t seem to be supported. "Our men and women are on scene and making every effort to protect everyone in attendance at the Nipsey Hussle vigil,” the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement Monday night. “Reports of shots fired at the vigil do not appear to be accurate. We do have injured in the chaos and are attempting to restore order." Hussle was murdered outside of his clothing store on Sunday afternoon. He was 33. Earlier on Monday, surveillance video was released that shows a man walk up on the rapper and others before firing multiple shots. The cause of the rapper’s death is listed as gunshot wounds to the head and torso. The LAPD also announced early Tuesday that 29-year-old Eric Holder is wanted for the homicide.
