I didn't realize how bad I needed a Childish Gambino and Rihanna film collab until now. Footage of the secret film titled, Guava Island, has hit the Twitterverse and we are losing our minds. Attendees at Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino's PHAROS Festival, a three-day virtual reality experience in New Zealand got a sneak peek at the new film.

In the teaser, we watch as it opens up with Glover relaxing and practicing music on his guitar, throwing around fun banter with on-screen girlfriend, Rihanna. Quickly the trailer picks up and we see a frantic Donald rushing through the town trying to get to work.

“We live in paradise but none of us actually have the time or the means to live here,” his says during the clip.

"We work hard. We deserve a day off. We're just taking what's ours."

The trailer shows a myriad of intense clips filled with dancing and singing and at one point, a kidnapping of Glover's character.

We're not exactly sure what to expect from the film, but one can assume that because the multi-hyphenated artist has his hand in it, it will definitely be epic.

The film billed as a "Childish Gambino Production," is reportedly shot in Cuba, according to The Hollywood ReporterDuring an interview with THR earlier this month, featured actress, Letitia Wright (Black Panther) curved all questions about the mysterious project.

"I can't tell you anything," she said. "I don’t even know ... what is Guava Island? I have no clue. I don’t know anything. I don't even know where they got my name from!"

Back in August, a photo of Childish and Rihanna posing on set went viral online. Many speculated that a music video was on the works. Neither artist has posted any more information about the project since.

Although in its second year, the PHAROS Festival, where the Guava Island trailer debuted is becoming a home for sneak peeks at Gambino's new projects. During the first festival, back in 2016 at California's Joshua Tree National Park, music from his then-upcoming album, Awaken, My Love! was previewed.

The festival appeared to be a truly Instagram worthy experience for all. Complete with its own app, those putting on the show asked attendees to wear the color green or their "frequency color," and not use their phones inside of the dome.

One Twitter user captured photos of the festival grounds with the caption, "pharos was the sickest experience of my LIFE."
