This past Friday, November 9, was "Wu-Tang Clan Day" in Staten Island, New York, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the rap collective's 1993 debut album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). The hip-hop label Certified Classics also marked the occasion by releasing a short film on YouTube titled For the Children: 25 Years of Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). According to a statement, the film “recount[s] the founding principles that brought them together as a group, the struggles of growing up and how this fueled their lyrical content, the production of key songs and the lasting impact of the album.” The video also features interviews with hip-hop artists like ASAP Rocky and ASAP Ferg about how the Clan influenced their own sounds.
